Cake Auction Concert Confection

Edgren Middle High School hosts its “Cake Auction Concert Confection” every year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The event features a musical concert spotlighting the different groups in the music program and an auction of beautifully decorated and deliciously structured cakes.
Cakes were donated by Misawa home-based businesses, expert parent bakers, and the Edgren Culinary program. More than 60 music students performed folk tunes, American marches, and of course some holiday favorites while other faculty and community members ran the auction and delivered the cakes. It was a thrilling night in the Eagle’s Nest as music and food brought together amazing parent volunteers, supportive colleagues, and our amazing players and singers.
The longstanding event was inherited by Mr. Riddle when he began teaching music at Edgren in 2014, much to his delight. The event helps fundraise for items such as clarinet reeds, trumpet valve oil, guitar straps, band camp t-shirts, and Far East Festival fees.
Edgren is proud to be a part of the Misawa Community that came out in full force, far exceeding expectations for the evening in order to support the music needs of all of our students.
